Description
English: Cutaway of the annular combustion chamber on a Pratt & Whitney JT9-7D turbofan engine. The air flow is from left to right.

Discrete fuel injectors maintain flame zones which share a common ring (annulus) casing.

This engine is part of the exhibit of the Deutsches Museum.
