Summary

Description Photo of the California Zephyr Vista Dome car "Silver Scout" which was part of the new train in 1949. The Budd Company built #816 "Silver Scout" in 1948-1949 for the Western Pacific as part of the original California Zephyr. The Vista-Dome coach sat 46 in the lower level and accommodated 24 in non-revenue seating in the dome.
