As stated before, the image is taken from a 1965 magazine issue. This was 50 years ago. It is therefore doubtful that, in the intervening time, a copyright (if any) has been renewed by either TV Guide or CBS or Columbia Pictures, the original distributor of the film "The Notorious Landlady." However, since the film itself was (and still is) available to the public domain for duplication and distribution, it is highly probable that Columbia Pictures allowed the copyright to lapse without renewal. Based upon this information, the image used here is declared as fair use. Additionally, the image has been neither cropped nor blurred nor sharpened in any way. |

The ad is for an old film televised 50 years ago. It is not known whether that copyright was ever renewed. Nonetheless, the image here is declared as fair use. Justification is argued in the content below. |
