From the description by W. FitzGerald in the Journal of the Association for the Preservation of Memorials of the Dead in Ireland, vol 6, p. 443: FitzGerald of Desmond coat of arms (ermine, a saltire gules) surrounded by “diapering” at the sides, and their crest: a man in armour on horseback (facing to the right), all carved in relief. |
