Description
English: Ancient ex-Midland double-framed 0-6-0 at Bournville Locomotive Depot.
Bournville (coded 21B) was a minor depot, its allocation in 1946 of 28 comprising:- 6 4-4-0, 14 0-6-0, 4 2-6-4T, 3 2-6-2T and 1 0-6-0T. Several of the 0-6-0s were light-weight for working over the Rubery Viaduct on the Halesowen Branch. No. 22846 was a 2F survivor of the numerous 0-6-0s built by Kirtley between 1863-74 and rebuilt by Deeley in 1907; it survived until 10/49. (Behind is the coal-stage).
