Description
Deutsch: Das Kathreiner-Haus in der Potsdamer Straße 186 in Berlin-Schöneberg, erbaut 1928-1930 nach einem Entwurf des Architekten Bruno Paul für die Kathreiners Malzkaffee Fabriken GmbH. Das moderne Gebäude im Stil der Neuen Sachlichkeit hat einen doppel-T-förmigen Grundriss. Die Flügelbauten des Stahlskelettbaus besitzen jeweils 6 Etagen, der Mitteltrakt 12 Etagen. Die Fassade ist mit Travertin verkleidet. Der Haupteingang des Gebäudes liegt nicht an der Potsdamer Straße, sondern ist auf die Königskolonnaden im benachbarten Kleistpark ausgerichtet.
