English: This engraving, "purported to be psychometrically drawn by one Milleson, of New York" in 1871, was believed by many nineteenth century Shakers to be a portrait of Shaker founder Ann Lee (1736–1784). See Stephen J. Stein, The Shaker Experience in America: A History of the United Society of Believers (New Haven and London: Yale University Press, 1992), 232-33.
