Description
English: Original caption reads: "View of Adderley Street, Cape Town from Longmarket Street. This thoroughfare, which one might term "the leading street of South Africa", is thronged during the greater part of the day by a busy crowd of shoppers and pedestrians. The shops are for the most part situated on the north side of the street , and are decked with all the latest novelties from Europe. Electric trams start from the centre of Adderley Street for all parts of the town and suburbs, and are considered the finest and most complete "South of the line"."
