Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_88044_2.jpeg Notes: בראשון לציון קיימת קהילת יהודים קראים, להם בית הכנסת ברחוב סירקין 6. היהודים הקראים שונים מהיהודים הרבניים. הם אינם מקבלים את פרשנות חז"ל או כל סמכות רבנית למקרא ("תורה שבעל פה"), והם מחויבים בעיקר לדברי המקרא המפורשים בתנ"ך בלבד. ראשית המאה ה־21, שיעור הקראים הוא פחות מאחוז אחד בעם היהודי. לפני קום המדינה היו בארץ מיעוט של קראים שהתרכזו בעיקר בירושלים. אחרי הכרזת המדינה עלו מאות מבני הקהילה לישראל. מוצא רוב הקראים שבמדינת ישראל הוא בקראי מצרים, ומיעוטם הגיעו מעיראק, תורכיה ורוסיה.
