Description
English: 1968-06. Private Nick Melnyczenko, 21, of Warrgul, Vic, a member of C Company, 4RAR /NZ (ANZAC) (The ANZAC Battalion comprising 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component from the 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment), inspects a captured Russian manufactured light machine gun, recovered by the battalion during its first operation since arriving in Vietnam. The weapon was recovered in the Nui Dinh Hills to the west of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) Base at Nui Dat.
