Deutsch: 04.05.2004 06642 Memleben: Ehemalige ottonische Kaiserpfalz und Benediktinerkloster. Am 2. Juli 936 verstarb hier der erste deutsche König Heinrich I. Im Bild von Süden das Kaisertor der ehemaligen Marienkirche aus dem 10. Jahrhundert. Diese Ottonischen Abteikirche zeichnet sich nur noch am Boden ab: Basilika mit zwei Querhäusern, zwei Chören und zwei Krypten, nach dem Magdeburger Dom der größte Bau des 10.
