These Triumph TR range of Sports cars were built between 1953 and 1981 in the UK. Changes from the TR2 to the TR6 were mostly evolutionary, with a change from a live axle to independent rear suspension in 1965 and a change from a four cylinder engine to a six cylinder engine in 1967.
The TR6 was built from 1969-76, it was similar to the TR5, it got its 2500cc 6 cyl, the body got a minor update, mainly to the front and rear, they were squared off for a typical 70s look. It was still available with a fuel injected engine in Europe and twin carby version in the US.
