The Chrysler Corporation was founded by Walter Chrysler in 1925, out of what remained of the Maxwell Motor Company. In 1928, Chrysler expanded, he established Plymouth and DeSoto brands and also acquired Fargo Trucks and Dodge Brothers Motors and started selling vehicles under those names.
From 1926-30, four models were available, the 50, 60, 70 Series and the 80 Imperial.(the Series referring to the speed they could do).
1929 Engines were; the 65hp 195 cu in 6 cyl Series S-65,
the 75hp 248 cu in 6 cyl Series G-75 and
the 100hp 309 cu in 6 cyl Imperial E-80
1929 saw a styling change and the Series 65 and 75 cars were introduced. Chryslers for 1929 featured a narrow profile radiator, fully crowned sweeping fenders, dual cowl ventilators, and fashionable bowl shaped headlights.
