Description
English: By order of the Byzantine emperor Constant II, the exarch of Ravenna Theodore Kalliope (right), at the head of a detachment brought on ships from Constantinople, most of whose soldiers do not know Latin, leads the arrested pope Martin the First out of the gate of the courtyard of monastery, adjacent to Lateran palace, which served as the residence of the pope (this small monastery will be closed and abandoned until Pope Gregory III, which will restore it again in 731-741). Kalliope holds a sword in hand to intimidate the pope's supporters and in case the Roman papal police attempt to recapture Pope Martin back.
Русский: По приказу византийского императора Константа II, экзарх Равенны Феодор Каллиопа (справа), во главе отряда, привезенного на кораблях из Константинополя, большая часть солдат которого не знает латинского, выводит арестованного папу Мартина Первого из ворот двора небольшого монастыря при Латеранском дворце, служившего резиденцией папы (монастырь будет закрыт и заброшен, и только при папе Григории III 731-741 он будет восстановлен). Каллиопа вытащил мечь для устрашения сторонников папы и на случай попытки римской папской милиции отбить папу Мартина обратно.
