Dr. Mark Hamilton (born 30 October 1970 Bangor, Northern Ireland) is the current Presenter of The Sunday Surgery every Sunday on BBC Radio 1 between 10:00PM and 12:00AM GMT. Hamilton graduated from Medical School with an MB ChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery). He then went on to specialize in several fields such as Orthopedic surgery, Geriatric medicine and Anaesthetics. He then went on to lecture Anatomy and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Manchester. Mark joined Radio 1 in 1999, joint hosting the Surgery with Sara Cox. Since then Mark has co-presented with Emma B, Letitia, Annie Mac and as of 14 October 2007, Kelly Osbourne.[1] As well as presenting the show, Hamilton also works in an A&E in Withington as a registrar.[2]
