Colfax Township is one of ten townships in Newton County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 199 and it contained 70 housing units.[2]

History[edit]

Colfax Township was established in 1871. It was named for Vice President Schuyler Colfax.[3]

Geography[edit]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.53 square miles (94.6 km2), all land.[2]
