Bandys High School (/ˈbændiz/ BAN-deez) is a public, coeducational high school located in Catawba, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Catawba County Schools district.

The school was built for $382,751 and dedicated March 28, 1955.[2]

Athletics[edit]

Bandys is a part of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) and are classified as a 2A school. It is a member of the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A Conference. Bandys' primary rival is Maiden High School.

Achievements[edit]

Bandys fields sports teams in baseball, basketball, cheerleading, marching band, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling. The marching band represented North Carolina in the 1993 Presidential Inaugural Parade.[3]

  • Girls Basketball: 1977 (3A), 1981 (2A), 1982 (2A), 1987 (2A), 1988 (2A), 1994 (2A)

  • Wrestling State Tournament Team: 2004 (1A/2A), 2005 (1A/2A), 2006 (1A/2A), 2022 (2A), 2023 (2A)
