Alec Berg (born 1969 or 1970)[1] is an American television writer, director and producer.

Early life, family and education[edit]

Berg, who is of Swedish descent,[2] is a graduate of Harvard University.[1]

Career[edit]

He wrote for the sitcom Seinfeld. He is co-creator with Bill Hader and executive producer of Barry.[3] He also co-wrote the screenplays for the films The Cat in the Hat, EuroTrip, and The Dictator. Berg is also an executive producer (and sometime director) of Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm as well as an executive producer of Silicon Valley.[4][5] In 2016, Berg signed an overall deal with HBO.[6]
