[Wikipedia-l] Shortcut interlanguage links

I have an idea for a shortcut for interlinks --
could an interlink with no article name be taken to mean "the same title 
as this page"?

eg:
On the french page "Milan Kundera", a link that's just "[[en:]]
would mean "the equivalent english language page has the same name, ie 
it is [[en:Milan Kundera]].

(... or is this one of those cool things the dev team have already 
thought of but not told us mortals? ;-)
