its supposed to be the "brown fox" you didn't use "B" Lenerd (talk) 00:08, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I created the text message intending to illustrate 160 total characters in a displayed message, and was not concerned with making sure all letters of the English Alphabet appeared. The letter "b" does appear in the SMS however, in "...as will be this message...". Scaredpoet (talk) 03:36, 28 August 2009 (UTC).[reply]

I know this is just an image, and the text isn't that important, but in it you note that text messages are typically 160 characters in length. Text messages are generally capped (technically or behaviorally) at 160 characters, but that doesn't mean that the messages are typically composed of the maximum amount of characters. davewho2 22:06, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

If you feel you can create an image that better illustrates an SMS message, by all means, I recommend you attempt to do so. Scaredpoet (talk) 21:13, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There's no need to be so snarky about a constructive and valid criticism. davewho2 02:13, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
No snarkyness was intended. There is no requirement that this picture be THE photo that defines an SMS. If someone - anyone - feels that it's not a fitting image, then I strongly encourage someone who feels they can do a better job to do so. This photo was taken in 2006. I no longer have that model of mobile phone, so I can't exactly re-shoot it with revised wording. I could take the shot with my current phone, but it's an iPhone and frankly, I'm genuinely concerned that people will get the wrong idea by my using a smartphone (and at that, a model which can resonate both positively and negatively, depending on your politics) for an image embodying "SMS."
So, PLEASE, if someone else feels they can create a better image, I encourage them to do it, I wish them the all the success int he world, and no ill will or negative feelings of any kind is meant to be passed on by this recommendation. Scaredpoet (talk) 21:39, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
