Summary[edit]
Description | Picture of Christian Boltanski's sculptural installation Le Lycée Chases (1986-1987) at the Rubell Museum DC in Washington, D.C., in 2022. Three tall stacks of small rusted tin boxes are packed tightly to form a column against a gallery wall. An out of focus, black and white framed photograph of a young girl is propped at the top of the work, with a black desk lamp clipped to the top of the frame. The desk lamp is pointed directly at the photograph, and the circular reflection of the light is visible across the girl's face. |
