English: Arms of Exeter in Devon: Ermine, three lions rampant argent (Source: Vivian, Lt.Col. J.L., (Ed.) The Visitation of the County of Devon: Comprising the Heralds' Visitations of 1531, 1564 & 1620, Exeter, 1895, p.628). Members of this family include Richard Prouse (d.1608), Mayor of Exeter, and his son John Prouse (d.1624/5), Mayor of Exeter in 1620, whose memorial exists in Exeter Cathedral. (Vivian, p.628, "MI")
