Description
English: Ernest Brastins' (1892nd-1942nd) monument in Riga, Kronvald Park, beside the congress hall at the city's canal. Sculptor: Uldis Sterģis, in collaboration with the stonecutter Robertu Zvagūzis and medal artist Jāni Strupuli. The monument is about 20 tons, and four and a half meters high. The inscription on the memorial stone says "Tautai (Folk), Dievam (God), Tēvijai (Fatherland)", on the other side there is a moulded medal with Brastins' portrait. Photo: A.Buks 12.06.2009.
Latviešu: Ernesta Brastiņa (1892.-1942.) piemineklis Rīgā, Kronvalda parkā līdzās Kongresu namam pie pilsētas kanāla. Tēlnieks: Uldis Sterģis sadarbībā ar akmeņkali Robertu Zvagūzi un medaļu mākslinieku Jāni Strupuli. Piemineklis ir apmēram 20 t smags un četrarpus metru augsts. Piemiņas akmeņa vienā pusē iekalti vārdi "Tautai, Dievam, Tēvijai", bet otrā pusē ir varā atliets Brastiņa portrets. Foto: A.Buks 12.06.2009.
