From a full size car, the Fairlane became an intermediate sized car in 1962, bridging the gap between the compact Falcon and full size Galaxie.
The 4 door was also assembled in Australia replacing the 59-61 'Tank Fairlanes' these new smaller cars were known as the 'Compact Fairlanes'. Available there from 1962-64
The 1962 FB Fairlanes had a flat grille and tail fins.
The 1963 FC Fairlanes had a concave grille and tail fins
The 1964 FD Fairlanes had a flat grille and no tail fins
1771 FC Fairlanes were assembled in Australia in 1963
